Why do I need this medicine?

Prazosin helps to keep your blood pressure under control. It lowers the blood pressure by relaxing the blood vessels.

This medicine is also used to treat Raynaud’s disease and as an adjunct to relieve symptoms of an enlarged prostate.

How do I take this medicine?

Take this exactly as directed by your doctor or according to the instructions on the label. Do not take more or less than instructed by your doctor.

The initial dose of Prazosin is best taken with dinner at least 2-3 hours before sleeping. Subsequent doses may be taken with or without food. Try to take it the same time each day.

Continue taking Prazosin even when you feel better. Continue taking this medicine even when you feel better. Do not stop taking this medicine without talking to the doctor.
