Why do I need this medicine?

Guaifenesin is used to relieve the symptoms of cough. This medicine helps loosen and thin secretion of phlegm to ease productive cough (cough that produces phlegm).

How do I take this medicine?

Take Guaifenesin exactly as directed by your doctor or according to the instructions on the label. Do not take more than instructed by your doctor.

This medicine may be taken with or without food. Try to take it at the same time each day.

If you are taking the extended release type of tablet (usually labelled as “ER”), swallow it whole. Do not divide, chew or crush the tablet. Administer with a full glass of water.
