Clonazepam – Oral

Why do I need this medicine?

Clonazepam is used on its own or together with other medicines to treat epilepsy (also known as fits or seizures).

Clonazepam may also be used to treat other conditions as decided by your doctor, such as panic disorder.

How do I take this medicine?

Take Clonazepam exactly as directed by your doctor or according to the instructions on the label. Do not take more or less than instructed by your doctor.

Depending on your condition, your doctor may prescribe Clonazepam for regular use or when required.

For the treatment of seizures, Clonazepam must be taken regularly for it to be effective. Continue taking Clonazepam even when you feel better. Clonazepam is not a cure and you may need to take it long-term to keep your seizures under control. Do not stop taking Clonazepam unless instructed by your doctor as stopping it suddenly may worsen your condition.

Clonazepam may be taken with or without food.
