Colchicine helps to relieve the pain of a sudden gout attack. Colchicine also prevents these gout attacks and is sometimes given with other gout medicines.
This medicine may be used to treat other conditions as decided by your doctor.
How do I take this medicine?
Take Colchicine exactly as directed by your doctor or according to the instructions on the label. Do not take more or less than instructed by your doctor.
You may take this medicine with or without food.
You should keep some Colchicine tablets with you so that you can take it at the first sign of a gout attack. The effect of this medicine is improved when taken as close as possible at the first sign of a sudden gout attack.
