Pregabalin – Oral

Why do I need this medicine?

Pregabalin is used together with other medicines to treat epilepsy (also known as seizures or fits).

It is also used to relieve nerve pain in people with diabetes or shingles and to relieve pain and discomfort in people with fibromyalgia, a condition in which there is severe fatigue and muscle aches.

How do I take this medicine?

Take Pregabalin exactly as directed by your doctor or according to the instructions on the label. Do not take more or less than instructed by your doctor.

You may take Pregabalin with or without food. Try to take it at the same time each day.

Pregabalin is available in different strengths. Make sure you know which strength you are usually given.

Pregabalin must be taken regularly for it to be effective. Continue to take it even when you feel better. Do not stop taking Pregabalin unless advised otherwise, as stopping it suddenly may worsen your condition. Your doctor will gradually reduce the dose before stopping it or changing it to another medicine.
