Oxymetazoline – Nasal

Why do I need this medicine?

Oxymetazoline is used to treat blocked nasal passage due to allergies, hay fever or common cold.

How do I use this medicine?

Use Oxymetazoline exactly as directed by your doctor or according to the instructions on the label. Do not use more or less than instructed by your doctor.

This medicine is available as a solution in nasal drop or as a solution in nasal spray.

How to use nasal drops:

1. Blow your nose gently before using the drops.
2. Shake the bottle well.
3. Tilt your head back and instill the recommended dose into the affected nose. Keep your head tilted for a few minutes to allow the medicine to spread throughout the nose.

How to use nasal spray:

1. If you are using the nasal spray for the first time, remove the cap and press the pump a few times until you produce an even spray.
2. Shake the bottle well.
3. Blow your nose gently before using the spray.
4. With your head upright, spray the medicine into the affected nostril and inhale at the same time.
5. Wipe and clean the spray after using.

Do not share your nasal spray or drops with others as it could spread infection.
